A Bob Dylan Christmas

This is my Christmas present to you all. I hope you don't already have one.

It's a book! Sorry I didn't wrap it.

This is what I was making a while back when I said I was busy.

It's based on the video for 'Must be Santa' by Bob Dylan. Originally written by Hal Moore & Bill Fredericks. Bob's version appears on his album 'Christmas in the Heart'.

Here you can view the entire thing as a digital book (Just use the arrows at the bottom of the box)

And download a pdf here.

I also made a physical book using iPhoto.

Everything except the writing was drawn by hand using Photoshop

As seen on Conan

The other night my Conan O'Brien portrait was shown as a bumper on Conan. On the actual show. Seen by millions of people (at least those who were paying attention).

A while back, I uploaded the painting to Team Coco's Flickr, as I had heard selected artwork might appear on the show. I then forgot all about it.

But there it was, on the 14th of December, on the Conan O'Brien show, just after the second commercial break...

I really cannot say how thrilling it was to see something I made on a show so many people watch. I've been a huge fan of Conan's for many years. He really appreciates his fans and encourages them make small contributions to his show as thanks for their support.

Here's the video.

Thank you Team Coco!

Christmas Shopping

Somehow, in all of the hustle and bustle, I managed to stop and take a break to paint Weirs off Grafton street. The ice had just melted and there was a lovely sheen on the ground. Lethal to walk on though...

Video here.

December Will Be Magic Again

Hello! This is one of my Christmas projects that I've been working on. It's based on the Kate Bush video for December will be Magic Again styled as an Alphonse Mucha poster.

I tried to make it as Christmassy as possible.

I drew this using photoshop. You can see a HUGE version here.

And see a 'making of' video here.
