Two years on

This blog just turned 2! Here's a quick look back at all the stuff that has appeared so far.

Movie Monday: Inception

Inception (2010) directed by Christopher Nolan. An iPad painting of an iPad painting of an iPhone painting of Inception.

We need to go deeper...

Movie Monday: The Adventures of Robin Hood

Errol Flynn as a woodcut. The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) directed by Michael Curtiz & William Keighley.

Movie Monday: You Only Live Twice

You Only Live Twice (1967) directed by Lewis Gilbert.

Movie (Easter) Monday: King of Kings

Jeffrey Hunter as Jesus Christ in 'King of Kings' (1961) directed by Nicholas Ray.

At the time it was referred to as 'I was a teenage Jesus' due to Hunter's teen idol appearance. It's worth watching for Miklós Rózsa's fantastic score alone.

Movie Monday: Cast Away

Wilson from Cast Away (2000) directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Wilson I'm sorry.

Movie Monday: The Ghost and Mrs. Muir

Portrait of Rex Harrison as Captain Gregg in The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz. It's a beautiful, spooky and romantic film.

Video here.

Movie Monday: Local Hero

Welcome to Movie Monday! From time to time I hope to post some paintings inspired by some of my favourite films... on a Monday.

I'm starting with my favourite film, Local Hero (1983) directed by Bill Forsyth.

It's a beautiful, funny, warm film so if you haven't seen it, check it out.

I had made the usual video with a brilliant track from the album, but the sound has been disabled :(

Update: Here it is :)
